Our Story
Jake and Katie grew up 15 minutes from one another but never met until December 28, 2022. Katie knew who Jake was for 3 previous years from the popular app tiktok. From that she had his snapchat, and on December 28th he posted being in town at a restaurant he owned. Katie then messaged him, and a mutual friend convinced him he had to go out with her. Jake and Katies first date was line dancing at the Ogden Union Station and getting Fizz drinks after. The following two days Jake asked her out after not knowing if they would see each other again since he lived in Florida and her in Utah. After 3 days of knowing each other Jake booked them a trip to California, and after 3 weeks took her out to meet his parents in Missouri. From there they dated long distance their entire relationship, only getting to see each other when planned. They were stuck to each other even calling as much as 9 times day! They endured the distance, grew their relationship and understanding of one another. They supported, loved, and each made the effort to make distance work. They had over the phone movie night dates, long conversations and many fun travels together.
On 11/11/23 Jake proposed to his best friend on a beautiful fall trail. Where hung in lights over a bridge read "Marry me" with rose petals lining the way, leading to the center with a candle lit heart area, and he got down on one knee and asked Katie to spend the rest of her life with him because he knew she was his one.
